Mar 24, 2021 at 1:28 | comment | added | Nick Westgate | Yes, I/O bus accesses are at 1 MHz, but in the case of the Disk II the timing between those accesses (while the drive is on) is also critical and so the code making the accesses must also be run at 1 MHz. This is what the IIgs accomplishes with "magic", or at least sufficiently advanced technology. ; - ) | |
