Was OS/2 a viable alternative for daily DOS and Windows tasks?
Games that used VCPI DOS extender were not compatible with the DPMI based DOS Extender supported by OS/2 (and Windows 3.x/9x/Me). They needed a true DOS system.
So if you wanted to use them, then OS/2 ...
