Mar 22, 2023 at 21:57 | comment | added | I'm Pliny | Right, the decimal machines (e.g. using binary coded decimal) represented decimal numbers (i.e. used 4 bits to represent 0-9), and I believe virtually all the machines that preceded the 701 did that.
